Lately in art we've been studying and producing artwork inspired by Ancient Egypt. In kindergarten we talked about the importance of cats to the Ancient Egyptians. Cats were sacred to the Egyptians. In fact, many religious figures of the Ancient Egyptians were depicted as cats. Cats were even mummified when they died, just like the Pharaohs! Using toilet paper rolls, pipe cleaners, and markers, each kindergartener was able to create their own Egyptian cat!
